Amit Rana has been appointed as general manager of Crowne Plaza New Delhi Rohini. He brings with him more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry and has an expertise of managing luxury and business properties in India, Middle East and Australia. Besides, he also possesses a rich experience in the areas of revenue management, new hotel openings and hotel operations along with implementation of strong sales and marketing strategies.
Talking about his upcoming plans, Rana said, “The hotel has witnessed progress in the last few years and this year too I see a lot of potential and tremendous opportunities for us. The hotel has done exceptionally well last year and we hope to continue with the momentum. We have always been considered as one of the most prominent and preferred venues in the city for both social and MICE events. Unlike last year, the summer business looks quite promising with increase in wedding dates. As we get a major business through weddings, this will surely add a major chunk to our business. For this we have recently renovated our banquets and given them a royal look. With revamping of our food & beverage team, we’ve also redesigned our menus and packages for the guests in order to make them choose from a variety of options along with customizations of their choices that will add to their overall experience. Lastly, knowing the overall scenario our focus would remain on marketing these activities at the right time and through appropriate channels.”
