Taj converts 19 hotels to new brand Vivanta

Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces CEO Raymond Bickson launched the rebranding of 19 Taj properties to the company’s new brand Vivanta by Taj, at a press conference today in Bengaluru. 

Vivanta by Taj is aimed at the 5-star upper upscale segment of The Indian Hotels Company.

Out of the 19 hotels, three have already been rebranded with 16 Taj hotels to follow suit within twelve months. The entire inventory will bring the Vivanta by Taj brand up to some 2500 rooms.

An aggressive expansion programme is already in place which will see the brand grow organically to more than 30 hotels with over 5000 rooms over the next two years.

Speaking at the press conference, Bickson said, “The launch of Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts heralds anew chapter in the 107 year history of the Taj. This brand is a testament to the dynamism and innovation that the Taj is know for. It supports the company’s stated objective of achieving growth through domestic dominance.”
