The second edition of The Maharashtra Economic Summit conferred Captain CP Krishnan Nair, chairman of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts with the YB Chavan Memorial Awards for Excellence in Hospitality on Saturday, 12 March 2011. The award was presented by K Sankaranarayanan, Honorable Governor of Maharashtra, amidst economists, politicians, scholars dignitaries and achievers from various sectors.
The award is in recognition of Captain Nair’s outstanding business practices, leadership qualities and for raising the bar of the hospitality industry with his achievements.
Acknowledged as the doyen of the hospitality industry, Captain Nair reflects on his long journey, “This award comes at a time when we have just opened The Leela Palace New Delhi.
