InterContinental wins 5 Golden Star awards

The Golden Star Awards 2010-11 (for excellence in the service and hospitality industry) are awards that aim to recognise excellence in leadership, innovation and sustainability and the concerned individual has to have been with the organisation for at least one year.

InterContinental Marine Drive has been the proud recipient for awards in five different categories. Koh by Ian Kittichai, India’s first signature Thai restaurant has been given an award for “Pride of the Restaurants”.

Based on the overall performance of the hotel in both rooms and food and beverage Romil Ratra, General Manager has been recognized as “Hospitality Achiever of the Year” – a special jury award. The prestigious award cannot be applied for and recipient is chosen from the list of nominations. Sameera Magoo, Director of HR & Training is declared the winner for “HR Person of the Year”. Chef Paul Kinny, Executive Chef has been selected for “Most Admired Chef of the Year” while Allen Machado was selected as the winner for “Front Office Executive of the Year”.
