Claridges reports ‘tremendous growth’

The Claridges Hotels & Resorts has reported that it has recorded a significant growth in top and bottom line for the period from April to December, 2010.

The hotel chain witnessed an increase of over 45% in total revenue over the same period the previous year i.e. April to December 2009 according to an official statement. The Claridges, New Delhi witnessed a total revenue increase by 25% with occupancy reaching close to 80%.

The Claridges Hotels & Resorts president and CEO Peter J. Leitgeb said, “The Group has registered the best ever financial performance in the history of The Claridges Hotels & Resorts. A tremendous growth over last year has been recorded and we are confident that the last quarter will be equally good for us.” He further added,” Based on the financial success, April 2011 onwards the rooms and F&B outlets at The Claridges, New Delhi & The Claridges Nabha Residence Mussoorie will undergo refurbishment, with investments of crores of rupees.”

The Claridges Group is currently pursuing expansion opportunities in Rajasthan, Himalayas, Dubai and Colomba in Srilanka.
