Hilton launches at Mumbai International Airport

Hilton Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of its second hotel in India today, in the country’s largest city of Mumbai – the upscale, 171-room Hilton Mumbai International Airport. The property is Hilton Worldwide’s third in India; the other two are Hilton New Delhi Janakpuri and Hilton Garden Inn New Delhi Saket.

“We’re excited to continue our global expansion and open our second Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in India’s business and entertainment capital,” said Dave Horton, Global Head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “We are ranked among the top five international hotel brands in India, and we’re thrilled to bring our authentic hospitality and premium products and services to travellers in India with the opening of the Hilton Mumbai International Airport.”

Hilton Mumbai, International Airport is owned by DB Hospitality, the Hospitality vertical of DB Group. Hilton Mumbai International Airport’s architecture is a lively blend of colonial design with contemporary features, reflecting a European elegance with the ambience of a stately home. Strategically located within a five-minute drive from the international airport and a 15-minute drive from the domestic airport, this pre-existing property is designed along the lines of a 19th-century summer palace.

“Hilton Mumbai International Airport marks our entry into one of the country’s largest and most vibrant cosmopolitan cities. As we grow our portfolio, we will bring our award-winning, upscale, quality accommodations and services to more domestic and international travellers from the business and leisure segments in India,” said Neeraj Chadha, India regional general manager, Hilton Worldwide.
