The Oberoi, Dubai, voted Middle East’s Leading Luxury City Hotel
The Oberoi, Dubai, The Oberoi Group’s first hotel in the UAE that opened in June 2013, has been named the Middle East’s Leading Luxury City Hotel at the prestigious World Travel Awards. PRS Oberoi, executive chairman, The Oberoi Group, said, “For The Oberoi, Dubai to be recognised within its first year of operations is good news indeed. We are currently working on an Oberoi beach resort near Dubai soon.”
ITC Grand Chola awarded Best Business Hotel
ITC Hotels’ latest addition to its luxury hotels portfolio, the ITC Grand Chola, was awarded the Best Business Hotel at the Annual Lonely Planet Magazine Travel Awards 2014, held in Mumbai. Receiving the award on behalf of the hotel, Ranvir Bhandari, vice-president, south, and GM of the ITC Grand Chola, said, “What we’re most proud of is to be chosen through an independent poll, by the readers themselves.”
The Leela Kovalam bags Best Luxury Hotel award
The Leela Kovalam, India’s only cliff-top beach resort and Kerala’s most popular holiday getaway, won the prestigious Best Indian Luxury Hotel award at the Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards 2014. The readers’ choice award was presented to Rajiv Kaul, president, the Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, and NC Somaiah, general manager, The Leela Kovalam, in Mumbai.
