Sarovar launches 37th hotel, Portico in Ludhiana

Sarovar Hotels & Resorts has launched its 37th Indian hotel and the second in Ludhiana, the City Heart Sarovar Portico. The hotel is small, just 18 rooms with another nine being developed by January 2010. Total inventory planned is 49.

The second development phase also includes a MICE facility for 200 guests and the business and fitness centres. It has one multi-cuisine restaurant, Tiffany’s and the Willows, a lounge bar. The hotel is promoted by Mohinder Singh Deol.

Sarovar already operates the five-star Majestic Park Plaza in Ludhiana.

The launch tariff at the City Heart Portico is Rs2,500 ++ for double occupancy and breakfast.
