Marriott International Group outshines at the 11th edition of Hotelier India Awards 2019, bags highest number of awards

Marriott International which offers portfolio of 30 brands and 7,000+ properties across 131 countries and territories has emerged as the top hospitality company to bag highest number of awards at the Hotelier India Awards.

The American Multinational diversified Hospitality Company and its portfolio brands bagged 14 awards out of 19 categories that were segregated across three segments (luxury, upscale, midscale and economy). The prestigious awards ceremony was held at the Taj Mahal Palace, New Delhi. While Marriott International and its portfolio brands emerged as top hospitality company to bag highest number of awards, Accor emerged as the second highest hospitality company which bagged 10 awards followed by IHCL which won 8 awards across various categories.

St Regis Mumbai bagged two awards across two segments

  • Imran Khan winning the Front office Manager of the Year (Luxury to Upper to Upscale ) 
  • Saurabh Dube bagging the Sales Person of the Year (Luxury to Upper to Upscale) 

Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park received two awards

  • Rahul George was awarded with Marketing Person of the year( Upscale to Midscale)
  • Sunil Shetty won Sales Person of the Year  (Upscale – Midscale)

JW Marriott New Delhi

  • Awadhesh Tanwar received Banqueting Person of the year (Luxury to Upper to Upscale)

Jaipur Marriott Hotel

  • Ramesh Kumar Patel was conferred with Laundry Manager of the Year –  Upscale to Mid-Market

Courtyard by Marriott Bhopal

  • Sumitabh Panchal bagged Banqueting Person of the year – Upscale – Midscale

JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata

  • Devidyuti Ghosh received Director of Rooms of the year –  Luxury to Upper Upscale

Bengaluru Marriott Whitefield

  • Vinod Kumar won Director of Rooms of the year – Upscale to Mid-Market

  • Sajid Shaikh was conferred with Chief Engineer of the year –  Upscale to Mid-scale

  • Charles Victor was awarded with HR Manager of the year – Upscale to Mid-scale

  • Rupinder Kaur bagged Marketing Person of the year – Luxury to Upper Upscale
