Gateway Hotel Madurai bags best 5 star hotel award

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India awarded The Gateway Hotel Madurai as the ‘Best 5 Star Hotel’ at the prestigious National Tourism Awards 2009-2010. The award was accepted by Sanjeev Sharma, General Manager, The Gateway Hotel Madurai at the awards ceremony on March 28, 2011 in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Sharma, General Manager, The Gateway Hotel Madurai said, “We are delighted to accept this award. It is an honour and one which we are proud to have earned. The award is a testimony to the endless efforts of our team and their dedicated commitment over the years has paid off, making The Gateway Hotel Madurai the best 5 Star Hotel in the country.”

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India presents National Tourism Awards to various segments of the travel and tourism industry every year. These awards are presented to State Governments, classified hotels, heritage hotels, approved travel agents, tour operators and tourist transport operators, individuals and other private organizations in recognition of their performances in their respective fields and also to encourage healthy competition with an aim to promote tourism.
