Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport has completed one year of its successful operation. The hotels accomplished a very high occupancy and enjoys one of the best ARRs among the north Mumbai hotels, the general manager of the Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, Oppenheimer Pinto e Fernandez said in a press statement.
The hotel also its achieved revenue targets, besides it also received four awards in the first year itself. It always makes one happy when the peers recognize the achievements, he said.
Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport (HIMIA) was awarded the “Best Mid Market Hotel of the Year 2011” by Hotel Investment Conference – South Asia (HICSA) held in Mumbai, India on April 6. This was the fourth award that the hotel won in the first year of its operation.
The HICSA Hotels of the Year Awards – 2011 recognize outstanding new hotel developments in the last one year in the South Asian region. The HICSA Hotels of the Year Awards were instituted to honour and recognise the most outstanding hotel developments in the previous year in South Asia.
The short listing was done by an independent panel comprising key industry leaders. Three hotels were short listed and subsequently the HICSA attendees voted for Holiday Inn through an electronic voting procedure. The hotel was awarded the “Hotel of the Year – First Class Business Award” by the Golden Star Awards 2010 – 2011 held in Mumbai, India recently. This was the third award that the hotel won in the first nine months of its operation.
Earlier the hotel had won, “Best New Business Hotel- West India”, awarded by Today’s Traveller. This award was given by Honourable Union Minister for Tourism Kumari Selja. The hotel also won, “Best New Business Hotel of the Year”, awarded by Hospitality India and Explore the World’s annual International awards held at the capital of the country, Delhi. The function was attended by over 1000 guests with Salman Khurshid – Member of Parliament and Praful Patel – Minister of Civil Aviation as guest of honour.
