The ‘Laundry Person of the Year’ award at the 11th Hotelier India Awards 2019 in luxury to upper upscale category went to Prasad Naik from ITC Maratha, Mumbai. Here, is a short excerpt where we get to know a bit more about to Prasad as he shares his thoughts on Hotelier India.
I feel extremely honoured and appreciative about receiving the Hotelier India Award which has recognised my contribution to the hospitality industry and laundry operations.
This award will give a great impetus to me and my team and will motivate us to strive towards maintaining competitive leadership and setting new benchmarks in the industry.
The factors behind my win would be in the last one year, I have excelled at performing comprehensive management tasks to drive efficiency and productivity within my team at ITC Maratha. Furthermore, I have managed to develop an effective organisational procedure that has led to further revenue generation and enhancement of quality, while maintaining compliance with all company guidelines and standards.
My organisation ITC Hotels has been very supportive and has always given me opportunities to showcase my expertise.
Winning this award has definitely encouraged me to work more closely with my organisation and take up more challenging tasks.
For me, the biggest inspiration has been my team and my company leadership. They have been the best mentors in my professional career. Working closely with them has taught me that the key to success for any individual is always determination, ambition, commitment, focus and hard work.
Empowering the internal staff along with constant training has been my mantra to stay ahead of competition.
