The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai will soon undertake a 10,000 cubic metres/day waste and sewage treatment and water recycle project. As the airport facilities continue to expand, and keeping in mind the rising passenger traffic, recycling seems to be the best option for facing water paucity at the airport.
Aquatech has been awarded a complete turnkey EPC contract for the same. Aquatech’s wastewater recycle system, based on their state of the art technologies, will treat the raw sewage for the purpose of recycle and reuse. Aquatech will also subsequently operate and maintain the facility.
Aquatech’s Vice President, Sachin Kukade, commented, “It’s our privilege to be associated with GVK’s prestigious modernization project of MIAL for setting up the sewage treatment and recycling / reuse project based on the most advanced technologies. This project is an important milestone for Aquatech in further consolidating its market leadership position in the country’s rapidly growing wastewater treatment/ recycle market for infrastructure as well as industrial sectors.”
