Late last week, Hilton Worldwide announced that it has signed a deal with the owner of the 254-room Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh hotel, in Scotland, to relaunch the property under its Waldorf Astoria brand.
After an investment of £24 million, the hotel will open in summer 2012 as The Caledonian, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
The hotel, which is more than 100 years old, will be Scotland’s first Waldorf Astoria and the UK’s third.
